Nominations for Virtuous Man & Woman of Faith Awards 2026

NOTE: At least two nominations are required for a person to appear on our voting ballot.

NOTE: Last year’s winners cannot be nominated this year.

Criteria

1. Loves and worships God — Regular Mass, adoration, or prayer. Radiates peace and joy from relationship with the Lord.
2. Loves neighbor as self with practical charity — Quiet, consistent care for the sick, elderly, families in crisis, and those in seasonal hardship.
3. Builds community and fosters unity — Bridge-builder across generations and between locals & newcomers. Lives “United in Christ by 2033.”
4. Lives with mature faith, hope, and fortitude — Faces island challenges with patience, trust in God, and perseverance rather than complaint.
5. Has a servant’s heart and mentors others — Serves without fanfare. Invests in youth through sports, music, faith formation, or faithful presence.
6. Bears witness by life and integrity — Honesty in work, fairness, reliability, and small daily kindnesses that make Christ’s love visible.
7. Has shown clear, recent examples — Specific, concrete ways this person lived out one or more of the above in the past year.
